General Dentistry
Check Ups
Our dentists diagnose and manage your overall oral health care needs in a sterile dental environment. We recommend you have yearly dental check ups done in order to prevent small problems becoming major, which leads to extensive dental treatment.
Nu-Smile Kids
Current dental technology and knowledge allows us to keep kids' oral health great. Preventative care and early intervention results in a healthy happy smile. It is VERY important that parents take responsibility in helping their children to keep good oral hygiene, as it is impossible for children to brush and floss adequately before proper development of their fine motor skills in their hands. The rule of thumb is - if a boy/girl can not make a brilliant shoelace knot without looking, they can not brush properly yet either!
Oral hygiene
Good oral health and preventative care is vital for healthy gums and teeth. If oral hygiene is poor it will lead to inflamed gums, cavities, toothache, halitosis and eventually the possibility of losing your teeth. Without teeth, we can not chew our food properly and would require much more extensive, costly and long-term treatment to re-establish an adequate bite.
Whitening
Tooth whitening is one of the most popular procedures done in dental aesthetics.
Having a brighter smile helps boost confidence. We provide you with custom made trays to pre-condition teeth with at-home treatment and then in some cases a boost (stronger application) can also be done in the dental chair.
Periodontal Treatment
What is Periodontal Disease?
Periodontal Disease, including gingivitis & periodontitis, is a silent painless ,chronic, communicable bacterial infection that often goes undetected or ignored until severe gum and bone destruction catches an individuals attention. There are two main aspects to the disease - the direct destructive effects of the bacteria themselves, and the individual's genetically determined immune response which further adds to the destructive bone loss.
Fifty out of every 100 adult Americans have moderate to severe gum disease, 40 out of the 50 do not know it, and fewer than two of them will get treated before it's too late. Gum disease is the most common human disease in the world!
Direct repairs (fillings)
Direct repairs are also known as "fillings". This is the most common procedure done to repair teeth with cavities. If cavities are not repaired, caries will extend deeper into the tooth and create larger cavities, eventually resulting in tooth infection. At this stage placing direct repairs won't be successful anymore.
Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is also known as the Endodontic field of dentistry. When tooth decay extends into the nerve and blood vessel system of the tooth, a dental abscess will form. There are only 2 treatment options to treat this type of infection:
- Root canal treatment to save the tooth, or
- Tooth extraction.
Removable + Fixed Prosthodontics
Prosthodontics is the field of dentistry focused on restoring compromised teeth as well as re-placing missing teeth. This includes removable and fixed prosthodontics.
